7. When editing is complete, press the [EXIT] key.

The unit returns to the kit select screen. The created drum kit

is saved as part of the project.

Assigning a name to a kit

You can assign a name to a drum kit.

1. Press the [DRUM] key in the rhythm section with the [RHYTHM] key lit, and then press the [KIT/ PROG] key.

The name of the drum kit selected for editing appears on the

display.

2. Turn the dial to select the drum kit whose name you want to change, and press the [EDIT] key.

3. Use the cursor left/right keys to bring the name of the kit onto the display.

The first character flashes.

4. Use the cursor left/right keys to move the flashing position to the character you want to change, and turn the dial to select a character.

For information on available characters, refer to page 39.

5. Repeat step 4 as necessary until the name is as desired.6. When the name has been input, press the [EXIT] key.

The name is updated, and the screen returns to the condition

of step 1.

7. To return to the main screen, press the [EXIT] key

several times.

Copying a kit

You can copy a drum kit to another kit number. This is useful

if you want to create variations of a drum kit.

1. Press the [DRUM] key in the rhythm section with the [RHYTHM] key lit, and then press the [KIT/ PROG] key.

The name of the drum kit selected for copying appears on the

display.

2. Press the [INSERT/COPY] key.

3. Turn the dial to select the drum kit number to be used as copy destination.4. To execute the copy, press the [ENTER] key.

The drum kit is copied, and the screen reverts to the condition of step 2. If the copy destination already contains a drum kit, it will be overwritten.

5. To return to the main screen, press the [EXIT] key

several times.
