If the insert effect is being used for the selected signal, the

output will also be processed by the effect.

3. Press the respective status key or [ON/OFF] key toselect the signal to be output.

Up to two signals can be selected simultaneously (only one when MASTER, DRUM, BASS, or TR9/10 is selected). To select two adjacent signals, press two status keys or [ON/ OFF] keys simultaneously.

4. To return to the main screen, press the [EXIT] key

several times.

In this condition, the selected signal only is output from the STEREO SUB OUT jack. The output level can be adjusted with the [STEREO SUB OUT] level control.

HINT

Pressing the selected status key or [ON/OFF] key once more turns off the output of the signal.

To obtain two signals independently, connect a Y cable (stereo plug x 1 + mono plug x 2) to the STEREO SUB OUT jack.

Hard disk maintenance

This section describes how to test and restore the integrity of data on the internal hard disk, how to format the hard disk, and how to perform other hard disk maintenance functions.

Basic maintenance procedure

The procedure for hard disk maintenance is the same for most operations. The basic procedure is as follows.

1. Turn power to the MRS-1266 off. While holdingdown the [CLEAR] key, turn power on again.

The MRS-1266 starts up in "ROM utility mode" which

serves for performing special functions.

2. Press the [MARK] key in the control section.

The indication "ExtFunc Select" appears on the display.

3. Use the cursor left/right keys to select the desired

command.

The following commands are available.

ScanDisk

Test and repair the integrity of data stored on the internal hard disk.

Init Fac (Factory Initialize)

Overwrite the operating files on the hard disk. Data created by the user will not be erased.

Init ALL (All Initialize)

Format the hard disk, and then write the operating files on there. All existing data will be erased.

4. Press the [ENTER] key to execute the command.

the individual commands. See the respective section below.
