Importing rhythm patterns and rhythm songs from another project

This section explains how to import rhythm pattern data and rhythm song data from another project that was saved on the hard disk.

1. From the main screen, press the [RHYTHM] key.

The [RHYTHM] key lights up.

2. Press the [UTILITY/TRACK EDIT] key in the display section.

3. Use the cursor left/right keys to bring up the indication “UTILITY Import” an the display, and press the [ENTER] key.

The display shows the following screen.

4. Turn the dial to select the project from which to import data, and press the [ENTER] key.

The indication “Import SURE?” appears on the display.

5. Press the [ENTER] key.

The data are imported into the current project. When the process is completed, the screen of step 2 appears again.

6. To return to the main screen, press the [EXIT] key

several times.

Editing various settings of the rhythm section

This section explains how to edit various settings that affect the entire rhythm section, such as adjusting the pad sensitivity or adjusting the volume of the metronome.

Basic procedure

The basic procedure for editing the rhythm section settings is the same for most items, as described below.

HINT

You can use the same procedure in either Rhythm pattern

mode or Rhythm Song mode.

1. From the main screen, press the [SONG] key or the[PATTERN] key.

If you have pressed the [SONG] key, the unit goes into rhythm song mode. If you have pressed the [PATTERN] key, the unit goes into rhythm pattern mode.

2. Press the [RHYTHM] key.

The [RHYTHM] key lights up, and either the rhythm pattern screen or the rhythm song screen will appear, depending on which key was pressed.

3. Press the [UTILITY/TRACK EDIT] key in the display

section.

4. Use the cursor left/right keys to select one of thefollowing items to edit, and press the [ENTER] key.• Count

Change the length of the pre-count.

• ClickVol

Change the volume level of the metronome.

• PadSens

Change the pad sensitivity which determines the volume level in relation to the force with which the pad is struck.
