HINT

If the formula does not fit on two lines, the characters scroll one by one. If you use the cursor left/right keys to move the input position, the line scrolls up and down accordingly.

After using the FAST input method to specify rhythm patterns for the entire song, press the [ENTER] key to write the rhythm patterns to the song.

NOTE

The FAST method can only write a song in one operation, from beginning to end. Writing only a partial song or editing the contents is not possible.

If you wish to edit a rhythm song that was written with this method, edit the formula and then write the entire song again, or use step input.

1. In rhythm song mode, press the [EDIT] key.

2. Use the cursor left/right keys to bring up the indication “EDIT FAST” on the display, and press the [ENTER] key.

The input screen for FAST appears.

3. Use the “(“ key, “)” key and the pads to enter the formulas for creating the rhythm song.

The formula input principles are explained on page 92. If you make a mistake during input, correct it as follows.

Inserting a number/symbol

Use the cursor left/right keys to move to the position where you want to insert a new number/symbol. And then press the new number/symbol.

Deleting a number/symbol

Use the cursor left/right keys to move to the position where you want to delete a number/symbol. Then press the [DELETE/ERASE] key. The number/symbol is deleted, and subsequent numbers and symbols are moved up.

4. When formula input is completed, press the

[ENTER] key.

A screen for selecting the song to write to appears.

SaveSong

Turn the dial to select the song.

5. Press the [ENTER] key.

The unit returns to the condition of step 2. If you wish to check the input result, press the PLAY [R] key.
