FEATURE OPERATION

4.When the connection is established, press the CONF/TRNS key to form a three-way conference.

If the party is busy or does not answer, you can return to the held party by pressing the Release (RLS) key.

After connecting to the new party, you can disconnect the party by pressing the RLS key. You will be automatically reconnected to the held caller.

Display telephones will display conference status and will indicate the number of parties currently involved in the conference.

5.To add an additional party, press the CONF/TRNS key.

6.Dial the number of the fourth party.

7.When the connection is established, press the CONF/TRNS key to join all four parties.

The current connections will be placed on “soft hold.” (See Note 1.)

Listen for recall dial tone.

Listen for ringback tone.

If the party is busy or does not answer, you can return to the held conference by pressing the RLS key.

After you are connected to the new party, you can disconnect the party and return to the held conference by pressing the RLS key.

8.Follow steps 5 ~ 7 to add up to four additional parties.

When a party disconnects from the conference, all other conference members will remain connected (unless none of the remaining parties has release supervision, in which case the conference will be dropped).

NOTES:

1.If your station is not allowed access to the Eight Party Conference feature, any attempt to add a fourth party will be ignored by the system and the current three-way connection will be retained. The ability to set up a three-way conference is provided through Three- way Calling feature allowance.

2.If you hear reorder tone when attempting to add an additional party, this may indicate that all system conference circuits are currently busy.
