MAINTENANCE

A bar with any of the following faults should be replaced.

•Wear inside the bar rails which per- mits the chain to lay over sideways.

•Bent guide bar.

•Cracked or broken rails.

•Spreadrails.

In addition, guide bars with a sprocket at their tip must be lubricated weekly with a grease syringe to extend the guide bar life. Using a grease syringe, lubricate weekly in the lubricating hole (T). See Illustration (S).

Turn the guide bar and check that the lubrication holes and chain groove are free from impurities.

Remplacer tout guide-chaîne montrant les défauts suivants :

•Usure à l’intérieur des bords de la rainure permettant à la chaîne de se coucher latéralement.

•Voilage du guide-chaîne.

•Bords de rainure fissurés ou cassés.

•Bords de rainure écartés.

Deplus,lesguide-chaînesmunisd’unpignon

àla pointe doivent être graissés une fois par semaine avec une pompe à graisse pour prolonger la durée du guide-chaîne. À l’aide d’une pompe à graisse, introduire de la graisse une fois par semaine dans le trou (T). Voir illustration (S).

Tourner le guide-chaîne et vérifier si les trous de graissage et la rainure de la chaîne sont exempts de débris.

MANTENIMIENTO

Aquellas barras que tengan cualquiera de los defectos que se indican a continuación deben ser reemplazadas.

•Desgaste en la parte interior de los rieles, lo cual hace que la cadena se mueva lateralmente.

•Barra de guía doblada.

•Rieles rotos o con fisuras.

•Rieles separados.

Además, las barras de guía que tengan una rueda dentada en la punta deben ser lubricadas semanalmente con una jeringa de engrase para prolongar la vida útil de las barras de guía. Usando una jeringa de engrase, lubrique semanalmente en el agujero lubricador (T). Ver Ilustración (S).

Gire la barra de guía y compruebe que los orificios de lubricación y la ranura de la cadena se encuentren libres de impurezas.

CAUTION: Check that the switch is in the stop “ / O ” position before you do any work on the saw.

WARNING

Although the guide bar comes with a SAFE-T-TIP® anti-kickback device already installed, you need to check the tightness of the mounting screw

(A) before each use.

Tighten the mounting screw (A) of the nose guard as instructed below. These are specially hardened screws. If the screw cannot be installed tightly, re- place both the screw and the SAFE-T- TIP® before further operation. Do not replace with an ordinary screw.

Bien que le guide-chaîne soit vendu muni delaprotectionSAFE-T-TIP®anti-rebond, il est important de vérifier si la vis de montage (A) est bien serrée avant chaque utilisation.

Serrer la vis de montage (A) du dispositif de protection conformément aux instructions ci-dessous. Il s’agit d’une vis spécialement traitée pour en augmenter la dureté. S’il n’est pas possible de bien serrer la vis, remplacer la vis et le dispositif SAFE-T-TIP®avant toute utilisation. Ne pas remplacer la vis par une vis ordinaire.

ADVERTENCIA

A pesar de que la barra de guía viene con el SAFE-T-TIP® ya instalado, usted necesita comprobar cada día el apriete del tornillo de montaje (A) antes de empezar a utilizar la sierra.

Apriete el tornillo de montaje (A) de la protección del borde tal y como se indica en la ilustración que aparece más abajo. Estos tornillos están especialmente templados. En caso de que el tornillo no se pueda instalar firmemente, reemplace el tornillo y el dispositivo SAFE-T-TIP® antes de volver a utilizar la unidad. No lo reemplace con tornillos normales.
