Testing without MSC Control

Chapter 4, “Performing Tests,” on page 59 lists the steps for fully automated testing, using the Test Software to control the Base Station. The steps of that chapter use a PC to control the Base Station via the MSC.

considerations apply: |

•Make certain to set the Send Control Commands to MSC field on the Base Station Configuration Menu to NO. The Test Set will not send control commands to the MSC using the PC.
•The connection diagrams at the start of each test sequence will include prompts to apply or remove power for the BBA being tested. You must control the transmitter signal (on and off) manually at the site.
•You will probably require an assistant at the MSC to control the Base Station and remove the radios from service.
