To turn on NFC, go to Settings > Wirel ess & net-
works > More > nFC.
To turn on Android beam, go to Set tings > Wireless
& networks > More > Android Be am.
Connect to Bluetooth devices
bluetooth is a short-ra nge wireless comm unications techn ology
used to communicate bet ween devices over a dist ance of about
8 meters. The most commo n bluetooth devices a re headsets for
making calls or listenin g to music, hands-fre e kits for cars, and
other portable devices, including laptops.
To conne ct to a Blu etooth device , rst tur n on your ta blet’s
Bluetooth. The n, the rst time you use a new Bluetooth device,
you need to “pair” it with you r tablet so that both devic es know
how to connect securely to e ach other. After that, the y connect
automatically.
To extend the life of your batter y between charg es, turn off blue -
tooth when you’re not using it . You may also be required to turn
bluetooth off in some loca tions. blueto oth is turned off w hen you
switch to Airplane mode.
