When you’re nished, eject the tabl et from within Windows befo re
unplugging the usb cable.
To change your tablet’s usb con nection opti ons, go
to Settings > Device > Sto rage > Menu > USB com-
puter connection.
Connect to a Macintosh computer via USB You can use a usb cable to connect y our tablet to a co mputer run -
ning Mac os x with a usb cable an d transfer music , pictures, an d
other les in both directi ons.
This connection uses th e MTP protocol, whic h is not supported
by Mac OS X nativel y. Therefore, you rst ne ed to install the free
Android File Transfer appl ication on your Macintosh. it ’s avail-
able from www.android.com/letransfer, along with instruc tions
on how to install it.
After you install Andro id File Transfer, follow th ese steps:
1. If you are us ing Androi d File Transfer fo r the rst tim e, double -
click it to open it.
After you start Andro id File Transfer once, it o pens automati-
cally whenever you conn ect your device to yo ur computer.
2. C onnect your dev ice to your compu ter with a usb cable.
Android File Transfer star ts, if it’s not alr eady running , and opens
a window that displays the con tents of your device, along w ith
storage space details at th e bottom of the wind ow.
You work with this window much as i f it were a Finder window:
