Section 7 Setting Up - Macintosh
Having connected the AXIS 5400 to your network, this section now describes how to set up your AXIS 5400 for printing in Macintosh environments using AppleTalk.
If you intend to operate your AXIS 5400 in a multiprotocol environment, you should also proceed to the other relevant sections in this manual, namely:

Installation Using the Chooser Window
Basic Configuration Basic configuration in AppleTalk is performed simply by opening the Chooser window and selecting a printer.
You can change the default name of your AXIS 5400 or any of default parameters by editing the config file. To access the config file from a Macintosh, you can use:
•any Java enabled Web browser
•FTP using MacTCP, Fetch or Anarchie
In order to use any of the methods, you must assign an IP address to the AXIS 5400 as described in Setting Parameters, on page 80.
