Enter the fax number using the dial pad, One Touch, Speed Dial or Search. Press Start.

When you send a color fax, the MFC starts sending the fax without scanning the original into memory.

Your Multi-Function Center allows you to transmit a color fax.

Automatic Transmission

This is the easiest way to send a fax.

1 Place the original face up in the ADF, or face down on the scanner glass.

2 Enter the fax number using the dial pad, One Touch, Speed Dial or Search. (See Speed Dialing, page 7-4.)

When you hear the fax tone, press Start. Replace the handset of the external phone.

Pick up the handset of the external phone and listen for a dial tone.

3 Enter the fax number you want to call. (You can enter the digits using the dial pad, One Touch, Speed Dial or Search). (See One Touch Dialing, page 7-4.)

Manual Transmission (With an External Telephone)

Manual transmission lets you hear the dial tone, ringing and fax receiving tones before sending the fax.
