Pre-Installation Tasks

Step 8 Click OK to close the Virtual Machine Properties dialog box.

To Verify DNS Settings

Step 1 Login to command prompt.

Step 2 To ping each server by its DNS name, enter ping DNS_name.

Step 3 To look up each server by IP address, enter nslookup IP_address.

Gathering Information for Installation

Use the Table 1-2to record the information about your server. Gather this information for a single Unity Connection server or for both the servers in a Unity Connection cluster. You should make copies of this table and record your entries for each server in a separate table.
