•If you have a codec with three microphone outputs, connect the microphones using Figure 8-7as a guide.

Cable the microphones using the following markings and colors on the codec:

–A single dot on a green background indicates a center microphone.

–Two dots on a white background indicate a left microphone.

Note The directions left and right refer to the assembly as you face it from the front.

–Three dots on a red background indicate a right microphone.

•If you have a codec with one microphone output and an audio/video extension unit, connect the microphones using Figure 8-8as a guide.
