Step 15 Make a note of the microphone connections on the front of the codec and perform one of the following actions:

•If your codec has one microphone connection, complete the following steps to install the audio/video expansion unit. See Figure 8-8for an example of this type of codec.

•If your codec has three microphone connections, continue to Step 16. See Figure 8-7for an example of this type of codec. You do not need to install the audio/video expansion unit.
