parse protocol

To define how the CSG2 is to parse traffic for a content, use the parse protocol command in CSG2 content configuration mode. To restore the default setting, use the no form of this command.

parse protocol {ftp http imap other pop3 rtsp sip smtp wap {connection-oriented connectionless}}

Syntax Description

 

ftp

 

FTP traffic, with Layer 7 inspection of FTP control sessions.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

http

 

HTTP traffic.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

imap

 

Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) traffic.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

other

 

Some other type of IP traffic, such as IP, TCP, or User Datagram Protocol

 

 

 

 

(UDP). This is the default setting.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

pop3

 

Post Office Protocol, version 3 (POP3) traffic.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

rtsp

 

Real Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP) traffic.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

sip

 

Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) traffic.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

smtp

 

Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) traffic.

The CSG2 parses the traffic as some other type of IP traffic, such as IP, TCP, or User Datagram Protocol
