Your system supports six cabled cooling fans.
Removing a cooling fan
Prerequisites

1.Ensure that you read the Safety instructions.
2.Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
3.Remove the system top cover (front). For more information, see Removing the system top cover (front).
NOTE: The procedure for removing each fan is identical.
Steps
1.Disconnect the cooling fan power cable from the system board.
2.Hold the cooling fan by its edges and lift the cooling fan out of the chassis.
