The Nvidia or Intel replacement GPU(s) are shipped with specific Nvidia or Intel I/O and support brackets. These brackets should be removed from the replacement Nvidia or Intel GPU(s) and installed on the GPU(s) removed from your system. The procedure to install the Nvidia or Intel brackets on the GPUs removed from your system is identical.
Prerequisites
NOTE: This is a Field Replaceable Unit (FRU). Removal and installation procedures should be performed only by Dell certified service technicians.
CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. You should only perform troubleshooting and simple repairs as authorized in your product documentation, or as directed by the online or telephone service and support team. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions that came with the product.
1.Ensure that you read the Safety instructions.
2.Keep the Phillips #1, #2, and the Torx T6 screwdrivers ready.
3.Remove the GPU brackets. For more information, see Removing the GPU brackets from the replacement GPUs.
