IPsec/Firewall

Configure or view the IPsec or Firewall policy for the print server. You can enable or disable IPsec/ Firewall operation on the print server, and configure the default rule for IP packets that are not covered by IPsec/Firewall rules.

Rules that define the IPsec/Firewall policy are configured through an IPsec/Firewall wizard, which is run when you click Add Rules. For more information, see IPsec/Firewall configuration (V.40.xx) on page 105.

Assessment

Use the Assessment tab to verify that the print server attempting connection to network resources is in full compliance with corporate governance policy. You can require that server policy and device configuration changes are current before allowing connection. HP Jetdirect, acting as an assessment client, collects the information and passes it to the assessment server. The assessment server then determines which network resources the client can access.

By default, assessment is enabled and all assessment types are selected.
