Jam type

Description

 

 

Residual jam

The device determines that a residual paper jam has occurred if any of the following sensors detects

 

paper when starting the initialization at power-up or when a door is closed.

 

Top of page sensor (PS901)

 

Delivery sensor (SR2)

 

Paper width sensor (PS903)

 

Duplex sensor (PS502)

 

 

Delivery delay jam

The device determines that a delivery delay jam has occurred if the paper full sensor (PS4) does

 

not detect the leading edge of paper within a specified amount of time after the top of page sensor

 

(PS901) has detected the leading edge of paper.

 

 

 

Clear jams from the input-tray areas

NOTE To remove media from the tray 1 area, slowly pull the media out of the device. For all other trays, complete the following procedure.

1.Slide the tray out of the device, and remove any damaged paper from the tray.
