Satellite longitudes are presented in degree/decimal degree (79.0 W) format since that is the standard representation of satellite position. Latitude and longitude of the mount are presented in degree/minute (38°56 N) format.

When referring to a particular RC3000 mode of operation, that mode’s name will be capitalized – ex.

LOCATE.

Throughout the RC3000 manual and software, the latitude, longitude and true heading of the mount are collectively referred to as the mount’s “position”.

Movements of the mount are represented by graphing the azimuth and elevation axes as shown below.
