5-3.Removing Jam

"Film jam between decent transport section and exposure section

The screen on the right shows the example where a film jam occurs between the decent transport section and the exposure section (the subscan unit). Follow the procedure below to remove the jammed film.

(1)Lift the film outlet cover on the front-lower part of the device to open by lifting the green handle.

Opening the cover to an upright position fixes it with magnets.

(2)Turn the green handle located on the front-left until the leading edge of film can be seen in the film out- let.

The film in the descent transport section is transported to the position control section.

(3)While turning the handle clockwise, put your hand from the film outlet and fold the edge of the film back.

(4)When the trailing edge of the film removes from the transport roller, take out the film from the film outlet.

(5)Close the film outlet cover and then the front cover.

The normal screen will re-appear after a while when the mes- sage of "PLEASE WAIT" appears.

When there queued print data remains, printing starts automat- ically.

CAUTION

The front cover cannot be closed with the film outlet cover open. If you find it difficult to close the front cover, check that the film outlet cover is closed.

Do not close the front cover forcibly.
