3. Double-click on the Ports (COM & LPT) icon.
4. Double-click on the name of the port you want to configure.
Youcan now view or change information about your serial port in the
followingways:
•Toview the hardware resources assigned to the serial port, click on the
Resourcestab.
•Toview or change the port settings, click on the Port Settings tab.
Formore info rmation about the settings, refer to the next section, Port
Settings Tab.
•Tochange the RS-485 transceiver mode, or to enable or disable the
FIFOso n the serial hardware,in the P ort Settings tab, click on the
Advancedbutton. For more information about the settings, refer to the
nextsection, Port Setti ngs Tab.
Note If you use two-wireTX RDYmode, FIFOs must be enabled. Transceiver modes
apply to RS-485 interfaces only.For more information about transceiver modes, refer to
Chapter6, Using Your Serial Hardware.
5. Tosave your changes, click on the OK button. To exit without saving
the changes, click on the Cancel button.
