Thefollowing sections explain the resource configuration options for each
serialinterface.

PCMCIA-232, PCMCIA-485, PCMCIA-232/4

Figure 4-12 shows the resource configuration dialog box for a
PCMCIA-485. The PCMCIA-232 and PCMCIA-232/4 dialog boxes
are similar.

Base I/OAddress: The baseI /O addressassigned to the port.
IRQ: The IRQassign edt othe port.
Length: The size (in bytes)of t he I/O window.
Forthe PCMCIA-232 and PCMCIA-485, the
lengthis 8 (the si ze of the I/O windowfor one
port).
Forthe PCMCIA-232/4, the length is 32 bytes
(the size of the I/O windowfo r four ports).
