Security Lock Slot
The security lock slot on th e rear of the system accepts a K en sington®
Security Standard con n ector or other locking devi ce. Secure the
locking device to the security lock slot and to an immovable object to
protect your system from th eft.
Hard Drive Security
Your system supports password protection for the hard drive. Hard
drive password prot ect ion restricts access to th e drive if the drive is
removed and in stalled in an other system. The system does n ot prompt
for hard drive password s wh ile the drive remains in th e current
system.
The passwords are writt en to the system BIOS and to the har d drive to
ensure that the passwor d protection travels with the hard drive in the
event it is moved to anoth er system. (See Hard Drive Secur ity in
