8.1Recording your greeting message
You can record your own greeting message for TAM/FAX mode, for a maximum of 16 (default) or 60 seconds in length. We recommend you record a message of less than 12 seconds to make it easier to receive faxes.
{STOP} {ERASE} {GREETING} {MIC}
1Press and hold {GREETING} until the unit announces you to start recording.
L A long beep will sound.
2Speak clearly about 20 cm away from {MIC}. L The display will count up the recording
time.
3To stop recording, press {GREETING}.
LThe unit will repeat your message.
LYou can also stop recording by pressing
{STOP}.
Note:
LYou can change the maximum TAM/FAX greeting message recording time to 60 seconds (feature #54 on page 69).
–If you change the setting to 60 seconds, we recommend that you tell the caller in your TAM/FAX greeting message to press {*}{9} before starting fax transmission.
–If you change the setting from 60 seconds to 16 seconds, your greeting message will be deleted. The

Press {GREETING}.
LThe unit will play the greeting message.
8.1.1Erasing your recorded greeting message
Press {GREETING}, and then press {ERASE} while your greeting message is played.

–When the recording time is set to “1 MINUTE”/“1 Minute” or “NO LIMIT”/“No Limit”, the unit will play a greeting message asking callers to send faxes or leave messages.
–When the recording time is set to “GREETING ONLY”/“Greeting Only”, the unit will play a greeting message asking callers to call again.
