8.4.2 Listening to recorded messages

When you have H/set1new2Messagesmessages, the number of new messages is displayed next to r.

Example:

1Press $(centre of joystick).

2Select K, then press ,.

3Select “Play New Msg.”, then press ,. L The new messages will be played back. L To play all messages, select “Play All

Msg.”, then press ,.

L Adjust the speaker or receiver volume pushing the joystick up or down repeatedly.

Note:

LWhile listening to messages, you can switch

between the receiver and speaker by pressing {C} or {s}.

LIf there is no memory available to record voice messages, “Full” will be displayed. Erase unnecessary messages (page 58, 60).

To repeat a message

Push the joystick left while listening to the message.

LIf you push the joystick left within 5 seconds of the beginning of the message, the previous message will be played.

To skip a message

Push the joystick right to play the next message.

To stop playback

Press Z(soft key).

To erase a specific message

1.Press _(soft key) while listening to the message you want to erase.

2.Select “Yes”, then press ,.

To erase all the messages

1.Press $(centre of joystick).

2.Select K, then press ,.

3.Select “Delete Message”, then press

,.

4.Select “Delete All”, then press ,.

5.Select “Yes”, then press ,.

6.Press {ih}.

8.4.3Leaving a message for others or yourself

1Press $(centre of joystick).

2Select K, then press ,.

3Select “Record”, then press ,.

4Select “Record Memo”, then press ,.

5Hold the cordless handset about 20 cm away and speak clearly into the microphone (1).

6To stop recording, press Z.

7Press {ih}.

Note:

LVoice memos are treated as new messages.

To listen to memo messages, see page 58, 60.

8.4.4Operation using the direct commands

You can operate the answering machine by pressing dial keys as direct commands. To use the following commands, press $(centre of joystick), select K, then press ,.
