Key Operation

Click to select whether or not to enable the buttons (the power standby switch and control buttons) on the front panel. If “Disable” is selected, the buttons will not function.

Note

If the library power is turned off, the “Key Operation” setting is returned to “Enable”.

R-MIC

If you are using a model equipped with an R-MIC reader, set whether to enable to enable the R-MIC function when using an AIT-5, AIT-4, AIT-3 Ex, or AIT-3 cartridge, or AIT-2 cartridge with R-MIC. When using AIT-2 cartridges without R-MIC or AIT-1 cartridges, select “Disable”.

Barcode

When the AIT library is equipped with a bar code reader, set whether or not to read the bar code affixed to the cartridge. If “Disable” is selected, the bar code will not be read.

Caution

•When the AIT library is not equipped with a bar code reader, do not change the setting to “Enable” as this causes an error to be displayed when the library starts or when a cartridge is set.

•If you selected “Enable” for the R-MIC setting and use cartridges without R-MIC, or if you selected “Enable” for the bar code setting and use cartridges without bar code labels, initialization after turning on the library or using the cartridges becomes unusually long. Make sure that you use appropriate cartridges and settings.

3 Click “Submit”.

The library is configured.

Network

In “Network”, network-related settings can be configured. After configuring, the AIT library must be restarted.

Note

The network settings can also be configured with the Network Menu of the control panel.

1 Click “System Configuration” on the Library Administration Menu, then click “Network”. You can also directly click “Network” which is located below “System Configuration”.
