LOCATINGTHEPRINTER
Beforeyoustart unpackingandsettingup yourprinter,make surethat you
haveasuitableplaceon whichtolocate it.By “asuitableplace”,we mean:
Afirm,level surfacewhichis fairly vibration-free
Awayfromexcessiveheat (ieaway fromdirectsunlightand awayfrom
heaters,etc)
Awayfmm excessivehumidity
Awayfrom excessivedust
Alocationwithsufficientspaceto locatetheprinter andany paperto be
fedinto it, as wellas the printedpapercomingout
Ifyou areusingaparallelconnectiontoyourcomputer,makesure thatit
iswithin2m (6ft)oftheprinter(an RS-232connectionusingtheoptional
RS-232interfacecan bemade overlongerdistances).
UNPACKING,SE’l_HNGUPAND CONNECTION
Nowunpackthe contentsof the printershippingcontainer,andmake sure
thatyou havethe following:
Theprinter itself
Paperguideassembly
sTheplaten knob
.Afabricribbon
