Power Supply Operation

Read Error The error queue holds up to 50 error messages. Once each message has been read, it Messages is cleared from the system.

To read from the error queue:

SYST:ERR?

This command returns an error code and message from the error queue. For example:

-315, “Configuration memory test”

-100, “Command error”

0, “No error”

See Appendix C. “Error Messages” for descriptions of the messages.

Clear Status

Issue a Clear Status command to clear all error messages and status registers.

The Auxiliary (Aux) lines are 2 open collector outputs that can be used to monitor

the status of the power supply. The auxiliary lines are referred to as AUX A and AUX

B. The auxiliary status lines can be set up to report the following status conditions:

 

NONE

 

ON: Output On

 

OFF: Output Off

 

OVOLtage: Over-Voltage Condition

 

UVOLtage: Under-Voltage Condition

 

OCURrent: Over-Current Condition

 

UCURrent: Under-Current Condition

 

FOLD: Fold Protection Tripped

 

CC: Constant Current Mode

 

CV: Constant Voltage Mode

 

UNRegulated: Output Unregulated

OTEMperature: Over Temperature Protection Tripper

ACOFf: AC Protection Tripped

SPRotection: Sense Protection Tripper
