5.Submitting print jobs using Windows NT 4.0 drivers

This chapter explains how to install the PostScript printer drivers, and procedures for accessing the job ticket and submitting print jobs using NT 4.0 drivers (applications).

Note: Screen captures in this chapter are representative of what you are likely to see on your system. Variations may occur, depending on the software version and on the specific product used (e.g., 4850 NPS).

Installing and configuring the system

You can install the PostScript level 2 printer driver (transparent client) on your Windows NT 4.0 system.

The PostScript driver for your Windows NT 4.0 system is delivered with the NPS ship kit. If, however, you need to obtain a driver, you have the following options:

Contact your local Xerox representative, who can source the driver for you.

Download the driver through the following web site: http://www.xerox.com/drivers

Note: NT 4.0 PostScript level 2 driver requires NPS version 1.5 or later.

Note: If you have any previously installed printer icons for the NT 4.0 transparent client, delete these icons and reboot your system before starting a new installation.

To install the printer driver from the DocuPrint Network Server software disks, follow these steps:

1.Double click the My Computer icon.

2.Double click the Printers icon.

3.Double click the Add Printer icon.
