CAUTION: Be sure to fix / secure the saw blade 4 again after each change of angle setting.
QSwitching on and off
The table saw has a soft start system.
This produces a short delay when the ma- chine starts.
To switch on:
jPress the green switch I of the ON / OFF switch 16 .
Switching off the device:
jPress the green switch 0 of the ON / OFF switch 16 .
Emergency switch off:
jPress the cover of the ON / OFF switch 16 closed.
Unlocking the ON / OFF switch cover:
jSlide the emergency knob upwards and flip the ON / OFF cover upwards.
QAttaching the guide fence
Attach the guide fence 1 by hooking it on to both sides of the saw table 5 and pressing the handle downwards.
“HIGH” setting (see Fig. N):
jAttach the guide fence attachment 1a with its broader side to the guide fence 1 .
Set the desired cutting width on the centimetre scale “High”.
“LOW” setting (see Fig. N):
jAttach the guide fence attachment 1a with the narrower side to the guide fence 1 .
Set the desired cutting width on the centimetre scale “Low”.
QAttaching the mitre guide
Note: Use the mitre guide 8 only when fully in- stalled (with the guide rails). Slide the mitre guide
8from the front into the groove 6 in the saw table 5 . The angle can be set to ± 60° by loosen- ing the mitre guide handle 8c .
Angle stop:
With the three stops 8a you can set at angles of ± 90° / ± 45° using the angle stop 8d (see Fig. L).
QSawing
Straight cut:
jFirst set the required blade height.
jYou can set the inclination angle if required.
jAttach the guide fence 1 .
jSawing a long workpiece (≥ 2.5 m) needs careful planning in advance. Work on long workpieces should be carried out together with a second person who is experienced and knows how to use the saw. This person is there to hold and support the workpiece. Ensure that the second person is also wearing all the rec- ommended protective clothing.
jSwitch on the machine as described above.
jPush the workpiece evenly in the direction of the saw blade 4 (see Fig. F). Saw the work- piece in one complete sawing operation.
Use the push stick 12 if the distance between the guide fence 1 and the saw blade 4 is ≤ 120mm.
jSwitch off the machine immediately if you are not going to continue to use it.
Mitred cuts:
jSet the required blade height.
jYou can set the angle if required.
jAttach the mitre guide.
jFirst slide the mitre guide 8 into the groove 6 .
jLoosen the handle of the mitre guide using the clamping screw 8c , set the desired angle and retighten the handle of the mitre guide using the clamping screw 8c .
jPress the workpiece against the mitre guide 8 .
jSwitch on the machine as described above.
