Connecting Cables to Stacking Ports

On all OmniSwitch 6600 Family switches, note the following important guidelines before connecting stacking cables to stacking modules:
•If you have not already individually assigned slot numbers and powered off each switch, do not connect stacking cables to the stacking ports. Instead, refer to “Assigning Slot Numbers” on page

To connect stacking cables to stacking modules and link your OmniSwitch 6600 Family switch into a virtual chassis, follow the steps below:
1Starting from the top of the stack, attach one end of a 30 cm stacking cable to a High Speed Serial Data Connector (HSSDC) port, as shown.
