Paper jams at the beginning of a scan
To clear a paper jam that occurs at the beginning of a scan:
1 Lift the document feeder cover, as shown, and remove the jammed paper.
First, lift the document feeder cover.
Then, carefully remove the jammed paper.
2Close the document feeder cover by placing your fingers on the center of the cover and gently pressing down until the cover locks into place.
