14. REGULAR MAINTENANCE

Regular Maintenance

You can keep your machine in optimum condition by cleaning it on a regular basis. Itisagoodideatoreplacethetonercartridgeandthedrumunitduringthisroutine. Avoid using thinners or other organic solvents to clean the machine and do not use water.

Followthestepsbelow:

1.Unplug the telephone line and then the power cord.

Whenyoureconnecttheselineslater,makesuretoconnectthepowercordfirst, thenthetelephoneline.

2.Wipedirtoffthemachineusingaslightlydampcleancloth.

3.Cleanthewhiteplateandtheglasscover.

Moisten a small piece of clean soft, lint-freecloth with isopropylalcohol and carefullyremovedirtfromtheglasscoverandthewhiteplateofthescanner.

*Donotuseisopropylalcoholtoremovedirtfromthecontrolpanel. Itmaycausea crackonthepanel.

4.Wipe the gears and electric terminals with isopropyl alcohol on a cotton swab. Gently wipe the scanner window and the toner sensor with a clean soft dry cloth.
