The following steps apply to error codes 1900-xx through 1907-xx:

1.Replace the tape cartridge and retest.

2.Check and/or replace the signal cable and retest.

3.Replace the multipurpose fixed disk drive controller board (40-megabyte tape backup) and retest.

4.Replace the tape controller board (135-megabyte tape backup) and retest.

5.Replace the tape backup and retest.

6.Replace the system board and retest.
