Selecting the Print Quality (Best, Normal or Fast print modes)

The three (3) modes of print quality are the Best, Normal or Fast print modes (described below). (Note: The Normal print mode is the default selection.)

Photographic Icon: The photographic icon on the right side change in order to represent the different print quality images. The icon only changes when the selection involves the Best, Normal or Fast print modes. The icon does not change when the selection involves the Normal and Fast print modes.

Default Selection (Best): When Best is selected, an additional check box will activate allowing Operators to select the use of the pigmented pen. Initially, most Operators will only need to select this if they need bar code readability by an infrared bar code scanner.

Step Procedure

1Select either the Fast, Normal or Best radio buttons for the desired print quality and print speed mode.

Fast Print Mode: The Speed mode is 26 seconds per card / 138 cards per hour in Fast mode. Fast provides a very fast print, but a slightly lower level of print quality.

Normal Print (Default) Mode: The Speed mode is under 42 seconds per card / 86 cards per hour in the Normal speed mode. Normal provides a medium level of print quality and speed. Normal is the default setting.

Best Print Mode: The Speed mode is under 76 seconds per card / 47 cards per hour in the Best print mode. Best provides maximum print quality, but takes the longest to print. Over the edge printing is supported. The printed card is dry to the touch and does not transfer ink to hands or clothing within 5 seconds of printing.
