| You can change the principal attributes in the Principal Information |
|
| window. |
|
| These attributes are the characteristics and properties assigned to either |
|
| a user or service principal. Attributes control how a principal behaves |
|
| and what that principal can or cannot do, such as renewing and |
|
| forwarding valid tickets. |
|
| To change principal attributes |
Step | 1. | In the kadminl_ui, choose the Principals tab and select the principal’s |
|
| realm. |
Step | 2. | Find the principal using the List All or Search button. |
Step | 3. | Select the principal name from the List of Principals, and click Edit. |
|
| The Principal Information window appears. |
Step | 4. | In the Attributes tab, change the attributes for the current principal. |
|
| Refer to the topic heading Attributes Tab, Principal Information window, |
|
| for general information on attributes. |
Step | 5. | Click Ok to accept the new attributes. |
|
| You can use the Edit menu to quickly reload default values or restore |
|
| previously saved values at any time while you are editing a principal. |
|
| When you reload default or restored values all the fields in the |
|
| Principal Information window tabs are reset to the default or |
|
| previously saved values. |
