For example, to indicate that hosts deer.bambi.com and goat.bambi.com belong to REALM1, you need to add the following entry in your krb.realms file:
.bambi.com REALM1
* (an asterisk) Begin the name field with an asterisk followed by a parent domain name to designate all hosts in subdomains belong to the indicated realms.
For example, to indicate that hosts june.sales.com and july.sales.com belong to REALM2, you need to add the following entry in your krb.realms file:
*.sales.com REALM2
