Using the straight pass- NOTE:If you are scanning exception documents, it is not necessary to

through adapterhave the exit tray attached. Use the exit tray when you are scanning many documents.

1.Remove the exit tray from the front of the scanner.

2.Install the exit tray matching the tabs on the exit tray with the slots on the straight pass-through adapter and be sure that it is securely in place.

3.Adjust the side guides and the end stop on the exit tray as desired to meet your scanning needs.

NOTES:

•When you are not using the straight pass-through door to output your documents, remove the exit tray, put it back in the front of the scanner and close the straight pass-through door.

•Be sure the wire stand underneath the exit tray is folded down so it rests evenly on the tabletop.

•When straight pass-through door is open, the Back Door status light on the control panel will be lit.
