The captured data is saved in a comma-separated format (.CSV) that can easily be imported into another application such as Excel. Using the captured data, it would then be easy to plot such thing as bandwidth usage over a given amount of time.

Chart Menu

This display supports 2 types of charts supported, BAR and LINE. Clicking on the Chart menu item will display the options for selecting either a BAR chart or a LINE chart.

The differences between these 2 chart types are covered later in this chapter.

Update Interval Menu

This menu item sets the amount of time between updating data to the chart and data grid. Selections include NOW (Immediate Update), 30 seconds, 1 Minute (the default setting), 5 Minutes, 10 Minutes, 15 Minutes, 30 Minutes and 1 Hour.

It is advised that Update Interval times be kept at a value of 1 Minute or greater. The Magnum Router Manager makes several requests for data from the attached Magnum Router during each update. As each request is processed, valuable processing cycles are used. This can have an adverse effect on the overall performance of the Magnum Router. Setting an Update Interval of 30 seconds for a long period of time may not really impact anything, but is could cause the data flow to slowdown.

Exit

Select this menu item to exit this screen and return to the main screen.
