Planning checklist

åVerify that you have approval from UTAM Inc. (U.S. only)

åVerify that a site planner determined Base Station locations and recorded them in the Provisioning Record.

Required equipment and supplies

åCompanion portable telephones

åCompanion Base Stations

åCompanion Remote Power Interconnect device

åCompanion ID Labels (See “Step 1: Obtain the Companion ID” on page 69.)

Configuring Station Modules

When installing wireless capabilities, use only the last two (or highest numbered) ports for connecting the Companion Base Stations.

Each Station Module allows you to connect up to 16 additional Norstar telephones to the system.
