Installation checklist

When installing a Norstar system with Companion components, follow this installation checklist:

åmount the Integrated Communication System (ICS) and expansion modules (as required)

åinstall the NVRAM Cartridge (if required)

åinstall the ROM Software Cartridge

åinstall the Expansion Cartridge and Trunk Cartridges (as required)

åconnect the expansion modules*

åcomplete the wiring

åinstall the emergency telephone(s)

åinstall the Norstar telephones

åinstall the single-line telephones

åinstall the optional equipment

åinstall the Remote Power Interconnect units*

åinstall the Base Stations*

åinstall the portable telephones*

åinstall the external antennas and lightning surge arrestors*

åpower up the system

*Procedures that are specific to Companion are included in this document. For all other procedures, see the Modular ICS Installer Guide.
