Other Basic Parameters

Monitor Volume

Speed Access no. 11

The machine is equipped with a speaker for monitoring operations. This function provides a 5-level audio adjustment of the speaker.

Available settings are OFF, Low, Mid, High-Mid, High.

Mid is the default setting.

Buzzer Volume

Speed Access no. 12

The machine is equipped with a buzzer that sounds when a fax communication ends or, if an external telephone is connected, when the receiver is not properly returned to its cradle after use.

Available settings are Low, Middle and High.

Middle is the default setting.

User Language

Speed Access no. 13

Your machine has two languages installed—Englishand Spanish or French, depending on where you purchased it. The language programmed is used to display messages on the control panel as to well as to print reports.

Available settings are English, Spanish, or French.

English is the default setting.

Width Reduction

Speed Access no. 24

During transmission and copying, Width Reduction (when set to ON), prevents omission of any data along the right and left sides, beyond the printable area of a LETTER size document.

Available settings are ON and OFF.

OFF is the default setting.
