Using the Search Function

1Press the Speed Dial/Search key. The display will show

ENTER 1’ST CHAR.

2Using the One-Touch key, enter the first letter of the name of the location you want to transmit to.

3Repeatedly press
to scroll through the list of location IDs beginning with the selected letter.

4When the correct location is found, press the Start key to begin faxing.

Using the Numeric Keypad

1Dial as you would on a normal telephone.

2If you make a mistake, press the SPACE key to back up one space. Then, enter the correct number.

3Press the Start key.

Using An External Telephone

To use this feature, you must have an external, optional handset or telephone connected to your fax machine.

1Pick up the receiver and dial the number. If the receiving machine is in automatic reception mode, you will hear a high-pitched tone.

2If someone answers, tell them to press the Start key on their machine.

3You (the sender) must press the Start key on your machine.
