•Store paper in its ream wrapper until you are ready to use it. Place cartons on pallets or shelves, not on the floor.
•Do not place heavy objects on top of the paper, whether it is packaged or unpackaged.
•Keep paper away from moisture, direct sunlight, or other conditions that can cause it to wrinkle or curl.
NOTE: Do not use carbonless paper or tracing paper. They are unstable at the fusing temperature and can give of fumes, or cause damage to the printer.

Proper paper loading helps prevent paper jams and ensure
The paper level indicator on the front of the paper tray shows the amount of paper currently left in the tray. When the tray is empty, the indicator of the bar is completely lowered.

Using the Tray 1 or the Optional Tray
Use the print material you use for the majority of your print jobs in the Tray 1. The Tray 1 can hold a maximum of 500 sheets of 20lb paper.
You can purchase an optional Tray 2 and attach it below the Tray 1 to load an additional 500 sheets of paper. See page 9.7 for more information about installing the optional Tray 2.
