13 Press or to select the desired combination of file format (TIFF or PDF) and compression method (G3, G4, or NO COMPRESSION).

•TIFF is a bitmap format that can be compressed without loss of data. TIFF

images can be viewed by many viewer programs. PDF is a widely used format that requires Adobe Acrobat Reader→ to view.

•G4 provides the greatest amount of compression and works well with most black and white files. If the recipient cannot open a G4-compressed file or experiences other difficulties, try G3 or “NO COMPRESSION”.
