Operation with Auxiliary Device

Outgoing Calls

 

 

General

The following operating instructions apply to a connected non-cordless telephone. Other auxiliary devices such as, for example, fax machines, VTX and modems can be operated in the same manner as long as they have a handset or a connect key and a dialpad.

When using an auxiliary device, the keys should be pressed relatively quickly in order to retain the dialing connection.

When using other auxiliary device -- except telephones -- please note that these require a special setting before they can be operated (see the chapter System Settings).

On telephones with pulse dialing, some procedures do not require use of the R .

External Dialing with Digit Dialpad

After putting the base station into operation, you can usually place calls with any connected tele- phone.

Pick up the handset.

You will hear the internal dial tone.

Push this key to seize a trunk line.

You will hear the trunk dial tone.

Dial the external telephone number.

You will hear the ring tone. The subscriber answers.

 

 

You carry on the external call...

Note:

If the telephone line is being used by another subscriber, you will hear the busy tone.

You can make an external call if the COS is set for “full trunk authorization” (initialization status).

Internal Dialing to Another Mobile Unit or Auxiliary Device

cPick up the handset.

Push this digit key.

Enter the internal station number.

Push this key if you want to ring all internal stations simultaneously.

You will hear the internal ring tone.

The first station which answers picks up the call. You carry on the internal call...

Note:

It is not possible to set up a connection from or to the 0 station when 2 external calls are being carried on simultaneously.
