The Sun MediaCenter software has three major components, the Media File System (MFS), the Media Stream Manager (MSM), and the Content Manager (CM). (In addition to these, there are special network interface drivers, which are tightly coupled with the MFS.) The relationship of these modules is illustrated in FIGURE
