Precautions

!DANGER:

Hazardous energy levels are present inside the system when the system remains connected to a power source, regardless of the key switch position. Also, hazardous energy levels are present in the system's batteries even when all AC power cords are disconnected. Ensure that you follow the safety procedures in the owner's guide or service manual.

!WARNING:

The graphics card, SCSI cards, and High-Speed Serial Interface/PCI (HSI/P) cards are not hot-pluggable cards. Before replacing these cards, you must turn off the computer.

!CAUTION:

Printed circuit boards and hard disk drives contain electronic components that are extremely sensitive to static electricity. Ordinary amounts of static from your clothes or the work environment can destroy components. Do not touch the components or any metal parts without taking proper antistatic precautions. See Using an ESD wrist strap on page 59 for more information.

!CAUTION:

Avoid keeping doors open for extended periods of time while the system is operating. All doors must be closed to prevent automatic thermal shutdown.
