and RESET VCAL cancels any verticalgain adjust-
ments; the instrumentreturns to the factory cali-
brated gain settings.
HIn vector mode, the center bezel c ontrol adjusts the
vector signal gain. Once gain has been adjusted,
RESET VCAL appears on screen. Selec ting RESET
VCAL cancels any vector gain adjustm ents and
returnsthe instrument to the factory calibrated gain
settings.
REMOTE
HThe currently operating software version is dis-
played in the lowerright corner of the screen.
HThree menu choices are available. REM INPUT
configuresrear-panel REMOTE connector pin 3 to
accept External Horizontalor Staircase input.
STAIRCASEc onfigures the staircase input for 3-step
(RGB) or 4-step (YRGB) signal. BAUD configures the
data transmission rate for the rear-panel RS232
connector for 1200, 4800, or 9600 baud.
HThe remote input is enabled by a TTL low or switch
to ground. See page 3-29.
REFERENCE (1765 Only)
HNTSC external reference and PAL external refer-
ence can be set toEXT,A,A1,A2,A3,B,B1,B2,
or B3.
HWhen The front-panelREF EXT is selected (LED
lights) the instrument uses the rear-panel EXT REF
input. Dual-standard monitors can be c onfigured for
two external references; one for NTSC and one for
PAL. Any of the input channels can be designated
as a second external reference by select ing that input
channel as the NTSC EX T REFor PA L EXT REF
through this menu.
